Market Development Manager
Improves client based revenue streams through direct intervention in the product-to-market process. Collaborates with Client Company Managers (CCM) and Client Integration Team (CIT) to identify new opportunities for HSB products and services by expanding relationships with Client Companies, Brokers/Agents and potential new partners. Functions as part of the CIT and is responsible for developing and directing the successful execution of assigned initiatives which maximizes achievement of set business objectives. Leads the market development process for new opportunities, assessing market potential, customizing the marketing strategy and identifying resources needed to successfully accomplish HSB's business objectives. Identifies opportunities for Marketing Development Group (MDG) to establish strategic relationships, ensuring service commitments are consistent with the MDG business plan and understands the financial impact of customized products/services. Creatively seeks solutions that meet client companies needs and efficiently utilizes HSB resources. Design and produce highly creative, impactful marketing collateral for client partners, such as: brochures, flyers, etc., and leads in external presentation development and delivery for new opportunities and to support existing on-going partnerships. Updates the client team and MDG management on the effectiveness of field strategies and tactics.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/related focus or equivalent work experience
5 years commercial experience with a demonstrated ability to organize around a goal, motivate a group of professionals towards the objective and continually monitor progress until final result is achieved
Strong working knowledge of Adobe CS and fully competent in Adobe InDesign
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
General Insurance industry knowledge
Experience working in a team environment with strong communication and collaboration skills
Occasional travel required
Sales and/or Marketing focus
Professional marketing experience, including the creation/implementation of marketing campaigns
Professional training experience, including training sessions provided to internal & external audiences
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Professional project manager skills
Industry market development experience
Knowledge of HSB products and services
