The Senior Agile Business Analyst role will play a key role in a highly visible Claims Invest Project with a primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify and manage the business needs of the project stakeholders, customers and end users. This role serves as the conduit between product owners and the software development team through which requirements flow.

Candidate will perform tasks using techniques that enable a highly iterative delivery approach of continuous requirements identification and just-in-time definition of requirements, and will focus on delivering effective business value as quickly as possible through application of agile practices, principles and lean thinking. This role will be responsible for:

Requirements Identification & Prioritization

· leading stakeholder/ user interviews, requirements workshops & backlog refinement


· interacting with Product Owners, end users, and other stakeholders to illicit and

test new requirements

· creating new user stories

· facilitating prioritization and ordering of user stories

· Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams),

prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate

Translating Requirements to Technical Mapping

· Defining quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional


· Translating the needs to technical scope (Ability to map document types, identification,

mapping (data analysis/mapping). Integration and data mapping, building workflow


Testing & Validation

· Identifying requirements errors and defects and write requirements defect identification

and notification reports

· Testing and validating existing requirements

· Providing support to developers and testers


· Overall leadership and ownership of project deliverables.

· Communicate proactively and regularly with cross-functional Team; build strong

partnerships with business and IT community


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

  • 5 years of deep practical experience in the role, with repeated experience performing business analysis in a variety of complex situations.

  • Practical experience in Agile development, including prioritizing feedback, creating/updating epics, features, user stories, and defining a minimum viable product (MVP) is a must

  • Experience working with a scrum team

  • Expert understanding of data stewardship, data standards, data management operating models and practices that develop quality documentation for data dictionary and data mapping documents. Deep experience working in a highly integrated environment.

  • Effective facilitation skills

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment and independently.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and oral communication skill with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. Experienced facilitator with strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization (e.g. entry level end-user through to Senior Management) and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

  • Strategic thinking skills.Ability to provide options and assess solutions, looking at the business holistically.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with internal shared service IT groups, offshore delivery centers, and external vendors.

  • Understanding of the business (P&C Claims) is desired, although similar insurance industry experience would be acceptable.
