  • Prepare monthly bankreconciliation, handle cash transfers and monitor cash balances fornumerous cash accounts.Report cashposition for Brown Medicine controlled accounts.

  • Assist in fixed asset accounting bymaintaining asset inventory, calculating and recording depreciation andvisiting sites on a yearly basis for a physical inventory review.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly andyear-end journal entries.Ensurethat all account activity has been recorded, corrections made, adjustmentscalculated and closing entries prepared.

  • Provide back-up support to theorganization’s payroll operations and activities.

  • Performanalysis of various accounts, reviewing balances and interpreting trends and/ordeviations from standards.This willinclude account reconciliation.

  • Demonstrateflexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary within theoffice.


  • Level of knowledge generallyobtained with a Bachelors degree in accounting.

  • Interpersonal communication skillsto effectively interact with all levels or personnel within and outside ofthe organization.

  • Knowledge of commonly usedconcepts, procedures and practices within the accounting field.

  • Computer literate with workingknowledge of spreadsheet and word processing programs.

  • Knowledge of payroll practices andoperations preferred.


One-two years experience working in accounting or finance.
