Job Description

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial forecasting/modeling, revenue and cost variance analysis, supporting monthly financial closings and financial reporting.

Essential Functions:

  • Preparation of standard monthly financial reports used both internally and externally

  • Addresses questions and ad hoc requests received from internal users of the financial statements

  • Performs financial modeling and monthly revenue forecasting

  • Serves as team “power user” of financial reporting system – maintenance of all existing reports and assist accounting group with custom report building

  • Preparation of various accounts receivable and cash analyses including reserve estimates, collection trends, and credit balance studies

  • Supports annual budget process

  • Resource to company’s BI group in terms of data validation and new report/dashboard designs

  • Books journal entries and reconciles balance sheet accounts for specialty areas only

  • Backup to Treasury Analyst for daily cash reporting and electronic payment processing

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1+ years financial planning and analysis experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other technology tools

  • Strong working knowledge of financial systems, statements and reports

  • Customer service acumen and strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability and commitment to handle multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely manner with guidance from manager(s).
